Anthropologie Christmas Wreath Dupe

You are here: Home / Christmas/Winter / Anthropologie Christmas Wreath Dupe

Hello Sweet Friends,

Today’s DIY is an Anthropologie Christmas wreath dupe. I just love the wreath and I’ve seen different DIY variations of it on Pinterest. So I decided that I would like to create something similar for myself.

Most of the supplies I needed for this project were already in my craft stash; a Michael’s clearance wreath, a Target village garland, some bottlebrush trees, etc. After grabbing a few more supplies from the craft store, I was good to go.

The original wreath was a little more colorful, but I decided to go with a more neutral look. It might have been because the little village garland that I had was in neutral colors.

Follow along to see my take on this beautiful wreath. I’ve included a supply list and step-by-step instructions.

Supplies needed

  • artificial Christmas wreath
  • 6 – 8 miniature houses, I used a village garland that I had on hand
  • 10 – 12 bottlebrush trees of various sizes
  • small pinecones, berries, other embellishments
  • ribbon
  • glue gun
  • scissors

Let’s get started

The clearance wreath was in desperate need of a little fluffing. So that was my first step for this project. And by fluffing, I mean going branch by branch and bending them to make the wreath look fuller.

When I thought the wreath looked “fluffy” enough, I was ready to add the little houses. I cut them off of the string and arranged them onto the wreath in a pleasing manner.

Using a glue gun, I added the houses to the wreath.

Here’s what the wreath looked like so far.

Next, I arranged the bottle brush trees onto the wreath. Instead of glueing them, I twisted a branch of the wreath around the base of each tree.

Here’s how the Christmas wreath looks so far. I think it’s already looking pretty good.

Then I glued some mini pinecones around on the wreath in any spot that I thought looked good.

At this point, I thought the wreath needed a few more trees. So I used what I had on hand instead; a few snow-flocked greenery stems. I just cut them into individual stems and glued them into the wreath where I thought it looked good.

And here is the wreath thus far.

Final touches on the Anthropologie Christmas wreath dupe

I was nearly finished at this point. But I decided to add some white berries and a small bow at the base. And I was very pleased with the results.

Didn’t this wreath turn out fantastic? I think I like it better than the original.

And here’s a display idea for the Christmas wreath indoors.

The inspiration wreath was pre-lit so I’m thinking about adding a strand of battery-operated lights to the wreath. But other than that, I think it’s PERFECT! (If you like the 34th ST. sign, it was a Amazon find. Here’s my affiliate link https://amzn.to/4fXL5k7 )

I hope project inspires you to create something beautiful for your home this holiday season.

Until next time…….. Happy Crafting!

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
