Hello sweet friends,
For today’s DIY project, I will be showing you multiple Christmas ideas for Dollar Tree frames. There are so many different frame styles available at my local Dollar Tree, and that many more decor ideas to use them for Christmas holiday. I’ve seen many ideas for other holidays, but I’ll save that for a different post.
Metallic frames, beaded frames, arched frames, wood frames, plastic frames: so many different choices in all different sizes. Run to your Dollar Tree or your favorite craft store and then read on as I share my EASY ideas to transform them into holiday decor.
Most projects need the following supplies, although the supplies vary slightly for each project.
Supplies needed
- frame
- printable or card
- scissors
- ribbon
- embellishments
- scissors
- glue gun

The arched frames are one of my favorites: they come in white or black. The beaded frames come in different sizes and are raw wood. And the oval frames are actually a chalkboard.
I’ll start my ideas with the arched frame. Many of these have vintage images that I was able to download from the website Graphics Fairy. You can use images for free or there is a membership option as well for a monthly fee. Here are a few samples of the Vintage Christmas images that I used, by simply printing the correct size and placing into the frame. Then glueing a ribbon and/or embellishments.

Another idea is to frame one of your favorite Christmas ornaments, especially if the ornament is flat. For this project, I used some scrapbook paper for the background and simply glued the ornament onto the frame. Then embellished with ribbon and some Christmas trim.
Didn’t they turn out adorable?

Next, we’ll move on to the beaded frames. I just love the farmhouse vibe! These frames come in two different sizes, at least at my local store.

For the 4X4 frames, I chose to paint white with Waverly chalk paint in the color plaster. And the 4×6 frame I left natural. Again the images all came from Graphics Fairy. I found some cute Santa photos for the square ones, then embellished with ribbon and Christmas trim.

And for the natural beaded frame, I found the perfect vintage Santa. See below.

Next up are the oval chalkboard frames from Dollar Tree. The frames were painted with the same Waverly paint I mentioned previously and I used the chalkboard as a template for the image to get the right size. Again, glueing some Christmas embellishments.

And, I would be remiss, if I didn’t reshare this Dollar Tree frame idea that I posted previously. For it, I used a square glitter frames and a few other supplies to create a mini Christmas ball tree in a frame. More details here.

And I just couldn’t stop once I got started, so here are a few more frames I had in my stash. The first frame was a metallic frame and the second one was a plastic wood grain frame; both were painted white before adding a vintage image. A little embellishment finished the look.

I hope you love all of these Christmas ideas for Dollar Tree frames as much as I do. I’m finding hard to pick a favorite.
Do you have a favorite? Let me know!
Until next time……. Happy crafting!
And Happy Holidays!
Pamela
