Hello Sweet Friends,
For today’s DIY project, I am featuring a beautiful fall wreath created with a calendar page and a square wreath form, both from Dollar Tree. This is my first time to create a square wreath, so I was a little bit hesitant at first, but I think you’ll love how it turned out, I know I did.
There are many similarities between this DIY and my previous post, a sunflower wreath, but I feel like this lovely wreath deserved its own post. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Supplies needed
- DT square sign or square wood blank
- DT wire wreath form
- November image from 2024 DT calendar
- 2 rolls of DT neutral ribbon
- Mod Podge
- various fall flowers, foliage, and mini pumpkins to match the image
- glue gun
- wire cutters
- wire
Let’s get started on this beautiful fall wreath
I began this project by applying Mod Podge onto the DT sign and letting it dry. Once dry, I ironed the calendar image onto the sign using a sheet of parchment paper between the page and the iron.
Once the calendar page was adhered to the sign, my husband drilled a hole in each corner so I could wire it to the square wreath form.
Before attaching the sign, I wrapped the wreath with some DT neutral ribbon. I glued every few wraps to make sure it was secure.
Using wire I got from Amazon, I wired the sign to the wreath at each of the four corners. (Here’s my affiliate link for the wire I used, if you would like to keep some in your craft stash.)
Adding flowers to the fall wreath
The final step was to add the florals, foliages, and mini pumpkins to the wreath. Most of the items I used were from Dollar Tree. I just chose colors that coordinated with the November image.
The stems were removed from the florals and mini pumpkins. And the fall leaves were cut individually. I did not get a lot of photos of this part of the project, but I just glued the leaves first, then the florals, and lastly, the pumpkins. They were arranged in a way that I thought was pleasing to the eye.
Didn’t this fall wreath turn out SUPER gorgeous?
Seriously, what a beautiful fall wreath! I think I really do love fall most of all.
Final thoughts on creating a beautiful fall wreath
This type of wreath could be created with any calendar image, any season of the year. Just remember to coordinate the florals with the image and you can’t go wrong. Also use a neutral ribbon (or a color to match your florals) to wrap the wreath in. Get creative and have fun with it.
Have a blessed day and happy crafting!
