Hello Sweet Friends,
Today’s DIY idea is not my typical post. I’ll be sharing ideas for creating the perfect MOON garden. What’s a moon garden? Well, I’m glad you asked. Until recently I had never heard the term.
A moon garden is a garden designed to be enjoyed in the evening after dark; through sight, smell, and sound. It usually consists of white or light-colored, fragrant, flowers, and silvery foliage that “glow” in the moonlight. Moon gardens may also contain grasses that rustle in the breeze, a water feature, or wind chimes that create peaceful sounds. An added pathway to walk around or a bench to sit and enjoy a moon garden are also some good ideas. Some moon gardens might even contain solar lights or candles for extra illumination in the evening.

Currently, I am in the process of creating a moon garden on my back patio, so I will be planting all white and silver foliage plants in pots. I will be adding a water fountain, solar lighting, and some DIY decor. When I am finished I will share all the details in a new post.

As you can see above, I’ve already got one of the items on my list, the crescent moon solar light. Doesn’t it look lovely at dusk? Now I just have to get the rest of the moon garden completed.
I also have a few DIYs already here on the blog to re-share. The first one is a DIY solar flower created from Dollar Tree supplies. I just love this and will soon be making more for my patio.
Another project that I have created was a DIY solar light using a discarded glass light shade. I will definitely be adding this to my moon garden.
