Hello Sweet Friends,
If you find yourself reading this, then you probably enjoy decorating for the Christmas season as much as I do. So much so, that every nook and cranny in your home has at least a touch of Christmas. And decorating a coffee/cocoa bar or nook for the season is no exception.
Many of the items that I use to decorate my coffee/cocoa bar have been collected over the years; some were gifts, some are crafts that I have made myself, and some are new this year. I try to change it up a little each year, so my coffee bar never looks the same two years in a row.
Here’s a look at the entire display. You may even recognize a few of the DIY pieces that I have featured here on the blog.
I just LOVE all the red and white with a little bit of the vintage blue mixed in here and there. There’s kind of an eclectic-peppermint-vintage vibe going on here! I’m not sure what else to call it.
On this shelf, I have a cute Christmas tray that was created with Dollar General sign and a clearance tray (instructions found here). And the bottlebrush trees were from Dollar Tree and I just glued them into some vintage milk glass candleholders that I had. The cute little snowman is a new purchase from this year from a local store. And the vintage looking radio speaker was from Amazon a few years back. I just love playing Christmas music on it.
On this shelf, you’ll find some peppermint trees made from cupcake liners; DIY instructions found here. The little moose and the hot cocoa cup with candy stems in it were all from Walmart. A Kohl’s plate and a Target globe filled with Dollar Tree “peppermint” ornaments rounds out this display.
Those cute jars with the red snowflake lids were a purchase from Dollar General several years ago. I like to keep coffee and hot cocoa mix in the two larger ones, and marshmallows and peppermint sticks in the two smaller ones. The small striped jar with the lid was from Kohl’s this year and is used to hold packets of sweetener.
I added a new cocoa bar sign by Junk Gypsy this year; you’ll find instructions on how I dressed it up right here. I believe the little candy cane sign was from Walmart and the two little bowls were from a friend’s moving sale. And I can’t forget the cake stand; I’ve had that for many years. It’s a Tracy Porter piece that was sold at Target probably 20 years ago. And of course, my Pioneer woman mugs are not Christmas-y but they fit in just PERFECT!
I hope this little tour of my coffee/cocoa bar was enjoyable to you; and I hope you gained a few decor ideas that you are able to use in your own home.
Until next time…… Happy Decorating!
Pamela
