Hello Friends,
I have an easy and not-so-traditional Valentine craft for you today; Cupid’s arrows. You may even have all the supplies you need at home. If not, they can easily be found at a craft store. I think these arrows look a little boho, too. So you might feel that they can be displayed not just for Valentines decor but everyday decor. So let’s get right into it.
Supplies needed for Cupid’s arrows
- 2 pieces of felt in 2 different colors
- small dowel rods or skewers
- scissors, glue gun
- for the “quiver” – cylinder vase and nautical rope from Dollar Tree
I found my small dowel rods and pieces of felt at the local Walmart.
Begin this project by tracing “arrowheads”, hearts, and feathers onto the felt. For six arrows you will need twelve arrow tips, either hearts or arrowheads. And you will need twelve feathers.
Pictured is what I used for two arrows.
Cut out the arrow tips and feathers.
Cut diagonal lines into the “feathers”.
Assemble the arrows by hot gluing the two tips to one end of each dowel rod and gluing two feathers at the other end. If desired, wrap and glue a small piece of twine around the feather end of the arrow. Repeat all of these steps for the other color of felt.
To display the arrows, place them into a clear jar or vase. I created a “quiver” from a cylinder vase and some nautical rope from the Dollar Tree.
I think these turned out pretty darn cute for such an easy craft. And I love creating neutral decor that can be used for more than one purpose. What do you think?
I hope I given you inspiration to create some Cupid’s arrows for Valentine decor at your home.
