DIY Dollar Tree Coastal Decor

You are here: Home / 10 Minute Crafts / DIY Dollar Tree Coastal Decor

Hello Friends,

I’ve got a couple quick and easy Dollar Tree DIYs for you today with a coastal vibe. I’m just LOVIN’ the Coastal Farmhouse look this summer and both of these DIYs will fit right in with that look. If you have the supplies in hand, you can whip these out in no time.

Supply list for succulent planter

  • rope tea light holder
  • faux succulent
  • white rocks
  • glue gun
  • wire cutters

All supplies were found at the local Dollar Tree. The “nautical rope” tea light holder is so CUTE for coastal decor but I thought I would change it up a little bit and use it as a planter instead of a candleholder. I cut the stem of the succulent all the way off.

Then I glued the succulent directly in the center of the tea light holder, holding it upright until the glue dried. I quickly placed enough of the white rock to fill the rest of the candle holder. There wasn’t a lot of room so it did not take very much.

Didn’t this turn out SUPER cute? You can just POP it into any beach decor display and it will fit right in.

Now onto the next easy project.

Supply list for Dollar Tree sign upgrade

  • beach sign
  • burlap trim
  • coastal embellishments
  • glue gun
  • scissors

This Dollar Tree beach sign is really cute just like it is, but I just wanted to “farmhouse” it up a little bit. I did this with a touch of burlap trim and a few extra coastal embellishments, all from Dollar Tree.

I removed the glittery starfish from the sign and replaced it with wooden starfish embellishments. Then glued burlap trim along the roofline of the beach house sign.

Sometimes just a few extra touches make a big difference. Isn’t this little sign SO cute now? Don’t you just love quick and budget-friendly crafts? Both projects probably only took me about ten minutes and look what a cute display it makes. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

I hope I’ve given you some coastal INSPO for next summer decor project.

Happy Summer and
Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
