Hello sweet friends,
Today’s craft idea is a mini Christmas pillow made with Dollar Tree Christmas fabric treat bags. This idea started out as a quick little project to help fill up a few empty spots at my craft booth. But it turned out so CUTE, I just had to share it with you all.
The treat bags come in a two-pack from Dollar Tree and I was able to whip them out in no time at all. The pompoms add just the perfect touch of whimsy, don’t they? I think I just might head back to Dollar Tree for more.
Follow along and I will show you just how quick and easy these cute little pillows are to make.
Supply list
- 2-pack of Dollar Tree fabric gift bags
- cotton batting/stuffing
- 16 red pompoms
- glue gun
- scissors

The photo above is from the Dollar Tree website and the pompom photo is from Walmart’s website. As I mentioned earlier, I did not intend on writing a blog post about this project, so I failed to get any pictures of the process.
Instead, I will attempt to just describe the quick steps I took to create this mini Christmas pillow. So the first step was to cut out the drawstring from the treat bag. Then I turned the top inward and glued about half closed leaving enough space to add the cotton batting.
After filling the bag with batting, I glued the remaining edge closed. Adding red pompoms around the perimeter was the final step. If you’re an Amazon shopper, here is my affiliate link for red pompoms.
Isn’t this mini Christmas pillow adorable?

And another photo of the cute little pillow.

If you want to make some of these pillows, better run to the Dollar Tree now before the treat bags are all gone. I hope you have found this helpful.
Until next time……. Happy crafting!
Pamela
