Hello Friends,
Wow!!! I can’t believe I’m writing my 100th blog post. It’s been a little over a year now since I started my Craftsy Soul blog. Whether it’s been from the beginning or you’re a new follower, I’m so glad you’re here with me now! It brings me great joy to share my crafting and decor ideas with you. My wish is that it brings joy and inspiration to your life as well.
Now on to the GOOD stuff: an easy craft project created with Dollar Tree supplies. I had some felt bunnies from a Dollar Tree garland left over from another project and decided to create this cute little reversible Easter bunny pot with some of them. Hope you like it!
Supply list
- two felt bunnies from Dollar Tree garland
- small clay pot
- floral foam
- small wood dowel rod
- small amount of cotton batting
- twine
- faux foliage
- Easter grass
- ribbon, small eggs, or other embellishment
- scissors
- glue gun
The felt bunny garlands from Dollar Tree have 8 different colored bunnies to choose from. You will be gluing the two bunnies together, so make sure that they are mirror images of each other; notice the floppy ear.
Put glue only on the outside edge of one of the bunnies leaving an open spot at the bottom. Then put the two bunnies together. Once the glue is dry, then stuff a small amount of stuffing into the head and body of the bunny. Use the dowel stick if necessary to push the stuffing in.
I did this in two parts, stuffing the head first, then the body. But I decided that it would have been easier to just stuff it all at once.
Put a small amount of glue on the dowel rod and place in bunny.
Add a small twine bow to the bunny.
Glue a small piece of floral foam into a small clay pot. Add the bunny, trimming the dowel rod, if necessary. Add some Easter grass or moss to cover the foam.
Add faux foliage, ribbon, eggs, or other embellishment to the pot. Make sure to decorate both sides! (The foliage and eggs I used were also from the Dollar Tree.)
How CUTE is this little Easter bunny pot? And best of all, it’s REVERSIBLE! If you get tired of one color just turn it around to the other side. (I did choose similar colors but you could use contrasting colors as well)
I hope you enjoyed this fun little Easter craft idea!
