DIY Framed Flower – 10 Minute Craft

You are here: Home / 10 Minute Crafts / DIY Framed Flower – 10 Minute Craft

Hello Sweet Friends!

Got ten minutes? Then I have the PERFECT craft idea for you; a beautiful framed FLOWER! Dollar Tree has these 4 X 4 frames with a distressed wood look and they are great to craft with. Just pick out your favorite faux flower and some coordinating scrapbook paper and your nearly done! Follow along for more details.

Supply list

  • 4 X 4 Dollar Tree frame
  • faux flower
  • 2 buttons
  • faux greenery, if desired
  • scrapbook paper
  • scissors
  • glue gun

This project is very simple to create and fairly self-explanatory. In just a few steps, you’ll have this super cute project complete.

Use the paper insert of the frame as a pattern to cut out a square of the scrapbook paper. Also remove the glass and set aside or discard. Insert the scrapbook paper square and replace the back of the frame.

Remove the embellishment in the center of the flower and glue buttons in its place. Glue the flower in the middle of the frame.

I found the paper and the flower I used in the scrapbook section of Michael’s. You can see I had already used the paper previously, but this project only needs a small piece.

If desired, glue a few small faux foliage pieces next to the flower.

And…. that’s a wrap! How SIMPLE and how PRETTY! I just love the neutral colors too. Sort of a FARMHOUSE vibe. But this project could be created in any color scheme. Make one to match your home. Use your favorite flower and color. So MANY options, so get CREATIVE with it!

Use this framed flower as a shelf sitter, on a gallery wall, in a tray, or perched on a window sill.

I hope you LOVE this idea as much as I do and that I’ve inspired you to create one for your home.

Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
