DIY Mini Easter egg topiary

You are here: Home / Budget-Friendly / DIY Mini Easter egg topiary

Hello Friends!

I’ve got another Easter craft for you today. I know you’ll want one for yourself. It’s super easy and only uses a few budget-friendly craft supplies. Gather around my crafting table and follow along.

Items you will need for this craft

  • two bags of mini Easter eggs from Dollar Tree
  • two small foam balls
  • one small terra cotta pot
  • one skewer or small dowel rod
  • ribbon
  • moss
  • glue gun and scissors

The first step for the Easter egg topiary is to hot glue the mini eggs onto the small foam ball in a random pattern and as close together as possible. Don’t forget to remove the small ribbons from the eggs. I thought one bag of 12 eggs would be enough, but soon realized I would need to get into the second bag. Be careful not to burn your fingers.

This was after glueing twelve eggs. I ended up using six or seven eggs from the second bag.

After glueing the eggs on, I cut the skewer to size; then inserted the skewer into the ball of Easter eggs. I inserted the other end of the skewer into the terra cotta pot. I finished by glueing a small bow to the base of the eggs and adding Easter grass to the pot.

I had some white iridescent tinsel leftover from Christmas. I stuffed small pieces of it between the eggs.

I’m totally crushing on how cute this little Easter egg topiary is! What do you think? Have I inspired you to make one for your home? I hope so.

Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
