Hello Friends,
I have seen so many wonderful and beautiful ideas for a mannequin/dress-form Christmas tree. It’s such a unique idea. I’ve never created a full-size one myself, but the project I’m sharing today is a mini version of the mannequin tree and I think you’re going to love it! And best of all, it is made from a Dollar Tree Christmas tree, plus a few other items. So without further delay, let’s jump right in.
Supplies needed for Mini Mannequin Christmas Tree
- white Dollar Tree Christmas Tree
- white felt
- small wooden spool
- adhesive diamond wrap, from Dollar Tree
- white satin ribbon, white tinsel garland, white berries, any embellishments of your choice
- red velvet ribbon
- embellishment for waist
- scissors, glue gun
Begin this project by assembling the Dollar Tree Christmas tree and shaping it like the picture below. The upper part of the tree will resemble a neck and torso, and the lower part will look like a skirt.
Next, use a piece of felt to match the tree and shape a bodice with it on the upper part of the tree. Cut a small slit in the felt for the “neck” to go through. Put a spool onto the neck.
Glue the felt where needed to hold its shape. Also put a few pieces of the sparkly adhesive strips onto the neck(spool)
Tie pieces of ribbon around the stem of the tree to help create a fuller skirt. I also added some of the sparkly adhesive strips to the white satin ribbons of the skirt.
Add the red velvet “stole” to the mannequin and wrap the waist with some silver ribbon.
Continue adding any other ribbons and embellishments you like to the skirt. I added some of the white tinsel garland, silver ribbon, and some pale green sparkly foliage. I also added a sparkly embellishment to the waist.
And I just love the results! A very glam mannequin Christmas tree! It would look perfect displayed on a dresser in a bedroom. Or maybe in a small bathroom. It was so much fun to create. I hope I’ve given you the inspiration to create one for yourself. The possibilities are endless. Any color scheme or theme could be used to decorate the tree. And best of all, it’s so budget-friendly.
I hope you love this project as much as I do!
