DIY Mini Red Rose Ball (Pomander)

You are here: Home / Budget-Friendly / DIY Mini Red Rose Ball (Pomander)

Hello Sweet Friends,

I have one of the easiest, budget-friendly DIY ideas for you today. A rose ball or pomander is perfect for home decor, parties, weddings, and more. Follow along and I will show you how to create a mini version of a rose ball suitable for all your decor needs.

Supplies needed

  • silk rose bush with 6 blossoms (got mine at Dollar Tree)
  • glue gun

Yes, that’s correct; a very short supply list!

Begin by removing the rose blossoms from the stems. No need for wire cutters or scissors, just remove the six rose blooms with your hands.

Hold two of the rose blooms and glue their bases together, as pictured below.

Add a third rose and glue together, as pictured.

Here’s what the cluster of three roses looks like from the top.

Repeat the same steps for the other three roses blooms.

Then glue the two clusters together to form a ball or pomander.

This sweet little pomander is perfect decor for a tiered tray, small candleholder, dough bowl, and so many other uses for the home. It could also be used for table decor for a wedding or party. They also can be made in any color to match your home, party, or wedding. I just love how simple and easy they are to create! And best of all; total cost a piece = $1 (actually $1.25 now.)

I created my red rose pomanders around Valentines Day, so I used them for Valentine decor! I hope I’ve inspired you to create some for your home decor.

Happy Crafting!
XOXO

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
