Hello Friends,
You may remember in a previous blogpost, I took a Dollar Tree coastal decor piece and “jazzed” it up a bit, found here. Well, I’ve decided to create a farmhouse look on the FLIP side so it could be used year-round. Keep reading and find out how EASY it is to do this.
Supplies needed
- Dollar Tree beach house
- DT wall tile decal
- DT burlap trim ribbon
- small wreath with small ribbon
- Scrabble tiles H-O-M-E
- white paint
- brown paint or stain
- glue gun
- scissors
- pencil
Begin this project by tracing the outline of the beach house onto the wall tile decal and cut out. Peel the backing from the decal and apply onto the back of the beach house.
Paint the decal-covered house with white paint. Let dry and add a second coat.
When dry, brush or wipe stain onto the house. Allow to dry.
Glue two strips of burlap trim/ribbon along the roofline of the house.
Glue a small wreath and a small ribbon onto the house. (The small wired leaf garland I used to make the wreath was found at Walmart; and narrow check ribbon also from Walmart at Christmastime.)
Glue the H-O-M-E scrabble tiles onto the house. And BOOM, you’re finished!
How CUTE is this little farmhouse? I’m so PLEASED with how this turned out!
I hope you’re inspired to create something fun and beautiful for your home.
