Dollar Tree Carrot DIY

You are here: Home / Budget-Friendly / Dollar Tree Carrot DIY

Hello Friends,

I’m back with another quick, easy, Dollar Tree DIY. This one is so easy, even those who claim that they are not creative can easily make these DIY carrots! No EXCUSES! No sewing, no painting, no Mod Podging. If you can use scissors and a glue gun, you can easily create these! So let’s get STARTED.

Supply list

  • package of 2 carrot-shaped gift/treat bags from Dollar Tree
  • faux foliage
  • twine
  • small amount of cotton batting
  • ribbons and button for embellishment
  • scissors
  • glue gun
Carrot bags and foliage both from Dollar Tree.

Begin this project by cutting the drawstrings off of the carrot bags, and discard.

Add cotton batting to each carrot.

Add a few stems of faux foliage to each carrot and tie off with twine or wire.

Tie a messy bow with a variety of ribbons. Cut several lengths of ribbon, then stack them in a criss-cross pattern, and tie in the middle with twine. Tie a bow to each carrot and glue a button in the middle.

And, BOOM, finished! How cute are these carrots? I’m really HAPPY with how they turned out! They are perfect to add into any Easter decor.

Where would you display these in your home? A tiered tray? A dough bowl?

I jazzed up a Dollar Tree sign with a messy bow. Doesn’t it look great displayed with the carrots?

I hope I’ve inspired you to get craftsy and create some Dollar Tree carrots for your home.

Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
