Dollar Tree Christmas Craft Idea

Hello sweet friends,
Today I have a quick little Dollar Tree Christmas craft idea for you: a framed tree made out of mini Christmas ornaments. Don’t you just love a good budget-friendly DIY? Nearly all of the supplies for this on came from Dollar Tree so it’s definitely easy on the budget.

This idea sort of evolved as I went along. It was a fairly simple idea, but I just had to keep adding to it. I hope you like this project as much as I do. Read on for the supply list and instructions.

Supply list

• Dollar Tree frame
• Dollar Tree mini ornaments (any color)
• Dollar Tree wall decal (or other background)
• Gold pen
• Glue gun
• faux Christmas greenery
• other embellishment

To begin this project, I cut a piece of the wall tile and placed it into the frame. I also discarded the glass from the frame. Instead of wall tile, you could use paper, fabric, or even paint a background.

I chose this frame and wall tile because they were both gold, and I though it would be perfect for a Christmas tree project.

For the next step I cut a few pieces from a greenery stem and glued them into a tree shape centered in the frame.

Then I simply began gluing the ornament balls into a triangle/tree shape, starting with the ornament in the center.

Once all of the ornaments were glued on, I thought it needed a little more greenery. So I glued little pieces of faux Christmas greenery all around the outside edge of the tree.

And, of course, what would a Christmas tree be without a star topper?

I still thought the tree needed a little something extra, so I added a few red vase filler balls (from Dollar Tree). I also touched up the background with a gold paint pen to tone down the white.

And look how CUTE the final piece turned out!
