Hello Sweet Friends,
I’m back with another fabulous craft idea; a Dollar Tree cookie cutter wreath. And although technically this is a fall craft project, the same idea could easily be used to make a Christmas wreath.
I have had the cookie cutters in my craft stash since early fall. They were purchased strictly for this project but I am just now getting around to using them. But that’s just how life is, isn’t it? You make plans, and they don’t always happen they way you think they will.
So anyway, I finally got around to creating a cookie cutter wreath and I just love it! It was SUPER easy and very quickly went together. Follow along and I show you just how EASY this project is.
Supply list
- 4 sets of fall Dollar Tree cookie cutters
- small plate or circle, 6 inch diameter
- glue gun
- ribbon
- scissors
Originally, I had purchased five sets of Dollar Tree cookie cutters. But I ended up only needing four sets (11 cookie cutters in total). The first step was removing all the packaging and discarding it.
I began arranging the cookie cutters around a plate with a 6 inch diameter, trying to create a pleasing pattern. The plate kept the “wreath” in a nice round shape. I just kept moving the cookie cutters around until I liked how the “wreath” looked.
Once I had the shape of the wreath ready, I began glueing the cookie cutters together. I put the glue towards the bottom of the cookie cutter; the part that would be to the back of the wreath, so there wouldn’t be any glue globs showing from the front side.
You can see I have a well-used glue gun in the above picture (LOL just keeping it real). Anyway, I just kept glueing until the wreath was complete.
Using the plate as a guide really did create a nice shape for the wreath. All that was left to do at this point was to add a bow. I decided to opt for a neutral bow; black and white stripe.
And I just LOVE how this little wreath turned out. It was just so QUICK and EASY! I will probably be making a Christmas cookie cutter wreath soon.
If you like the frame I have displayed the wreath on, there is a DIY for it right here.
Don’t you just LOVE an easy craft? Me too! That’s why I love this project so much. I hope you have enjoyed this project and are inspired to try creating one for your home.
Until next time….
Happy Crafting!
