Hello Sweet Friends,
Today’s DIY is a fabulous, EASY, and budget-friendly, craft idea; a Dollar Tree Easter bunny craft made from a treat bag. I hope you LOVE it as much as I do.
There are so many different ways this little bunny could be used. It makes the CUTEST little shelf sitter or addition to a tiered tray. Honestly, they are so budget-friendly, you could make several and use them at each place setting at Easter dinner.
Let me show you just how EASY the little bunnies are to create. Gather around my craft table and follow along for the instructions.
Supply list
- Dollar Tree bunny fabric gift bags (4 bags and 4 pieces of twine)
- decorative ribbon/embellishment
- polyfil or cotton batting
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Can you believe that SHORT supply list? This truly is an EASY DIY!
The first step for this Dollar Tree Easter Bunny Craft, is to cut some longer ears for the bunny. Lay out one of the gift/treat bags and make a cut as pictured below. You don’t have to worry too much about the cut being even and centered, it won’t show in the finished bunny.
Then add enough polyfil or cotton batting to fill the little bag. I just used some cotton batting from a pillow that I had. You could even use cotton balls if you don’t have cotton batting on hand.
Using one of the pieces of twine, tie the bag right below the ears. It should looked like the picture below.
Moving on to the final step, I hot glued a small bow and button to cover the twine. And, BAM, I had myself the CUTEST little Easter bunny!
Once I got going, it was so EASY to whip out all four of these ADORABLE bunnies! LOOK how cute they all look displayed in my bread bowl.
Or they look even CUTER gathered in an Easter basket!
I hope you have enjoyed this Dollar Tree Easter bunny craft as much as I have in creating it. And I hope you’re inspired to give it a try.
Until next time…. Happy Crafting! and Happy Easter!
Pamela
