Hello Friends,
I’m so glad you’re here today for a quick Dollar Tree sign makeover! Actually I combined two Dollar Tree signs to create one for this project. I thought the Easter sign was really CUTE already; it just needed a little extra something. So follow along to see what I’ve created!
Supply list
- Dollar Tree Easter sign
- Dollar Tree sign (shaped like a large hang tag)
- white and brown paint
- Easter ribbon and accessories
- wire
- glue gun
- scissors
The summer sign was left over from last year. I like the “hang tag” shape of the sign and thought it would make a good base for my Easter sign makeover.
Instead of trying to cover the image on the front of the sign, I just used the back of the sign and painted it with white chalk paint, although any white acrylic paint will do.
I separated the bunny head and two carrots from the other sign. I touched up the bunny head with white paint and tried to fill in the holes left from the twine hanger. I also did some touching up with brown paint which was watered down.
Then I made a simple bow for the sign of mixed ribbons. I tied it together in the middle with a piece of twine, then dovetailed the ends of the ribbons.
I added a little bow to the bunny head and did a little touch-up on the carrots. Then the sign was ready to be assembled.
I just glued all of the pieces together with a glue gun. Then added a wire to hang the sign with.
I think this Easter sign turned out super CUTE! And it was super fast to create. I hope I’ve given you a fun makeover idea for your next craft project.
