Hello Sweet Friends,
I have another fabulous Easter DIY decor craft idea to show you today! It’s so EASY to create and most of the supplies come from the Dollar Tree, so it’s budget-friendly, too. I hope you’ll be inspired to create one for your home. Gather up your craft supplies and follow along.
Supply list
- silver tray from Dollar Tree
- felt bunny garland from Dollar Tree
- sheet of scrapbook paper
- white and brown chalk paint and paint brush
- twine
- assorted ribbon and/or embellishment
- scissors
- Mod Podge
- glue gun
Choose and remove a felt bunny from the garland, and set aside.
Paint the silver tray with white chalk paint and let dry. (Chalk paint will adhere to the smooth surface of the tray better than other acrylic paints.)
Choose a piece of scrapbook paper for the background. I found a neutral pin dot paper that I really liked.
Cut the paper to fit the inside of the tray.
Apply Mod Podge to attach the paper to the inside of the tray. Top with another coat of Mod Podge. Let dry. Dry brush some brown paint around the edges of the tray.
Cut a length of twine to fit the inside perimeter of the tray. Glue in place.
Add a small twine bow to the bunny.
Make a small bow and gather any embellishments you wish to use for the tray.
The final step is to glue everything together. Just center the bunny in the tray. Then glue on the bow and/or embellishments! I attached my bow at an angle so it wouldn’t cover the bunny’s ears.
How CUTE is this bunny decor? I just LOVE it! I hope you do too.
Better hop on over to your local Dollar Tree to get supplies to make one for yourself.
I hope I’ve inspired you with creative ideas for your home decor this Spring and Easter!
