Hello sweet friends,
Today’s craft project is a Dollar Tree snow globe idea. I’ve seen these emply snow globes at my local DT for several years now at Christmastime, but this is the first time that I decided to make a purchase and get craftsy with them.
All of the items for this project also came from Dollar Tree with one exception. I found some small reindeer ornaments on clearance last year (at Target, i believe) and thought they were so adorable; I knew I had to come up with a good craft idea for them. So that’s just what I did.
Read on for a complete supply list and instructions.

Plug in your glue gun and let’s get started!
After opening the snow globe, I started off by placing the mini deer and trees onto base to see how it would look and if it would fit into the globe. Once I got it arranged to my liking, I hot glued the deer and trees onto the base. It did not matter if the glue showed a little bit because it was going to be covered later.

As you can see in the above picture, the snow globe base is in two parts. And I used the piece that fits snugly into the globe.
The next step was to brush a thick layer of Mod Podge onto the base and sprinkle with the faux snow.

Before moving forward, I allowed the Mod Podge dry for a few hours. Then the snow globe was ready to be assembled.
I added some loose faux snow in the globe and then placed the base into the globe while holding it upside down. That way the loose snow would not fall out.

Then I placed the cap onto the globe and sealed it tightly. (I did not place any water in this globe even though it has a tight seal.)

For a final embellishment, I glued some red and white ribbon around the base with a small bow. And I think this little Dollar Tree snow globe turned out ADORABLE!

Then I made one with mini green trees and red ribbon. Also super CUTE!

I ended up making a total of four snow globes and I can’t decide which one I like best.

If you would like to make some cute little Dollar Tree snow globes for your home, then run, run, Rudolph, to the nearest Dollar Tree! You won’t be sorry.
Until next time……… Happy crafting!
Pamela
