Hello Sweet Friends,
I am sharing another AWESOME Dollar Tree craft with you today: a wall tile spindle Christmas tree. There are so many wonderful ideas out there using the Dollar Tree wall tiles, and this is no exception.
The DT wall tiles give a vintage look to just about any craft project and I just love using them when I am creating. So, of course, I love adding them into my Christmas decor ideas, too. I hope you like this idea as much as I do.
Gather around my craft table and follow along as I create a wall tile spindle Christmas tree. The supply list and instructions can be found below.
Supply list
- DT wood Christmas tree cut-out
- DT wall tile
- pen
- scissors
- glue gun
- E6000
- Waverly chalk paint, color plaster
- Waverly antique wax
- spindle base made with a spindle and Jenga blocks
- Dowel or skewer
- strip of fabric
- ribbon and a few Christmas embellishments
The first step for this project was to trace the Christmas tree onto the wall tile. I used the back of the tile because it was smoother and easier to trace on. Then I simply cut along my traced lines.
The I painted the wall tile with the Waverly chalk paint, using two coats with dry time in between. (Now would be a good time to brush with the antique wax also) Once the paint had dried I glued the two pieces together using a combination of hot glue and E6000 glue.
It was time to attach the tree to the spindle base. (more about creating the spindle base here.)
I glued a dowel, that just happened to be the perfect size, into the top of the spindle using hot glue and E6000 and allowed it to dry.
Using a combination of hot glue and E6000, I attached the tree to the dowel rod. Then to make it a little more secure, I glue a strip of fabric onto the dowel and the back of the tree.
The final step was to glue a bow and a few embellishments to the base of the tree. And, O Tannenbaum, did it turn out super CUTE!
I probably could have added more colorful embellishments to the tree, but you know how I LOVE my neutrals.

I hope I’ve inspired you to get creative and create something beautiful for your home.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting!
