Hello Friends,
I have another SUPER easy DIY for you today! You need only a minimal number of supplies and a little bit of time and you too can create this extremely CUTE garland for Easter. Follow along and I will show you how!
Supply List
- plastic Easter eggs (The garland pictured uses 8 10-packs of eggs from Dollar Tree)
- hemp cord (approximately 14-15 feet)
- scissors
Have you ever noticed that plastic Easter eggs have small holes at either end? I never did until recently. To create the Easter egg garland, a length of the hemp cord will be strung through the small holes from one egg to the next.
To start, tie a knot into one end of the hemp cord. Open an egg and thread the knotted cord through one end. Then close the egg.
Keep threading the cord from one egg to the next by opening each egg and threading the cord from one end, through the middle of the egg, and out the other end. Close the egg and go on to the next.
Keep repeating the same color pattern until the garland is the length desired. Pictured below is one package of plastic eggs; about two feet long at this point.
When you reach the final egg, tie a knot at the end of the hemp cord.
The Easter egg garland is now ready to display. I’m loving all of the spring colors!
I just love how this garland looks and it was so EASY to make! I displayed mine around my front door but I think this would be super CUTE on a mantle or stairway bannister also.
I hope I’ve inspired you with this simple idea for Easter decor.
