Hello Sweet Friends,
I have a beautiful Easter Lily Cross DIY for you today. It’s easy, budget-friendly, AND beautiful. I hope you LOVE it as much as I do. Follow along and I’ll show you how easy it is to recreate for your home.
Supply list
- two large 5-gallon paint sticks (from Walmart)
- 7 bushes/bundles of faux Easter lilies (6 blooms per bush) from Dollar Tree
- saw to cut paint stick
- clamps
- wood glue
- glue gun
- wire
Begin by creating a cross using two large paint stir sticks. Cut one of them to about 12 inches long. Glue the two pieces together to form a cross. Use clamps to hold the cross while the glue dries.
Remove all the Easter lily blooms from the stems. Discard the stems.
Beginning at the top of the cross, glue the Easter lilies directly to the wood. If necessary, hold the lilies in place until the glue dries. Pictured below are four lily blooms; one facing up, one facing out, and the last two facing out from the sides.
Continue down the cross towards the center, following the same pattern. Two lilies facing to the sides, and one facing outward.
When you get to the center of the cross, then cover both arms of the cross with lilies using the same steps. Work from the outside towards the middle, until both arms are covered. See picture below.
Then start at the bottom, working towards the middle, glueing lilies in the same fashion as before. When you are finished add a wire hook or loop to hang it with. (Oops! I forgot to get a picture of that)
Look below to see how beautiful the Easter lily cross is!
Oh my gosh! Don’t you just LOVE this beautiful cross? It turned out more beautiful than I thought it would. The lilies almost look REAL!
I hope I’ve inspired you to create a beautiful Easter lily cross for your home. It was super easy to make, I think even a beginner could make this. So head on over to your local Dollar Tree or craft store and get some faux Easter lilies.
