Hello Friends,
I created this star garland to coordinate with my patriotic decor for the 4th of July and summertime in general. But I think it could just as easily fit in with rustic Christmas decor. So if you’d like to create one for your home, grab some of those Dollar Tree cookie sheets and some twine and follow along as I show you how to easily create a metal star garland.
Supply list
- Dollar Tree cookie sheets, one pack
- twine
- star paper punch from Amazon
- scissors
- nail and hammer (or other sharp instrument to poke holes in the stars)
Begin by cutting off the edges of one cookie sheet using scissors. Use a large star paper punch (yes it works on aluminum cookie sheets!) and create as many stars as desired for a garland.
If you don’t have a star paper punch, then you can trace a star pattern and cut each star individually with scissors.
Place a star onto a block of wood and poke a small hole using a nail and hammer. Repeat for each star. Tie each star onto a length of twine, spacing them approximately six inches apart.
Bless my STARS! I think this turned out SUPER cute, plus it was so EASY to create! I hope I’ve inspired you to create one for your home.
Use multiple garlands displayed together for a unique, FUN look!
