Hello Craftsy Soul Sisters,
Do you have a small front porch like I do? Have you decorated it for fall yet? If not, I have a few quick and easy tips for you.
I’ve always dreamed of having a farmhouse with a cozy wrap-around porch where I could sit, enjoy a cool drink, and relax. Maybe, someday. But for now I DO like my small front porch. And it’s a SNAP to decorate for any season.
Here’s a short list of items needed for a front porch display.
- potted mums
- a beautiful fall wreath
- a cute welcoming rug
- light fixture bows
- and of course, pumpkins
Remove any unnecessary items from the porch. Sweep any debris away.
I grew ferns this summer so I left them on the porch to include in my fall displays.
The fall rug was added first.
Next I added bow toppers to my outdoor light fixtures.
Then added a touch of autumn to my ferns with some fall silk stems.
Time to bring out the potted mums and pumpkins. I chose not to put the mums in more decorative pots because the pumpkins hid the plastic pots they came in. Pretty simple, right?
The final touch is a beautiful fall wreath for the front door. Use a heavy-duty suction cup for a glass door.
I am so pleased with my little front porch display this year. And it took no time at all.
It even looks BEAUTIFUL at night!
I hope I’ve inspired you with my quick and easy fall decor ideas for your front porch.
Until next time…..
