Faux Floral Frame for Mom – 10 Minute Craft

You are here: Home / 10 Minute Crafts / Faux Floral Frame for Mom – 10 Minute Craft

Hello Sweet Friends,

If you need a last-minute craft that also makes a CUTE Mother’s Day gift, I have the perfect idea for you. This project is easy, budget-friendly, and super ADORABLE. So follow along and I’ll show you how to create a floral frame in no time at all.

Supply list

  • 4 X 4 frame
  • scrapbook paper
  • M-O-M in Scrabble tiles
  • faux hydrangea florals
  • scissors
  • glue gun

All supplies may be found at Dollar Tree.

Remove the back of the frame and use the paper insert as a pattern/template to cut a square of the scrapbook paper. Leaving the glass in, insert the scrapbook paper square into the frame and replace the back.

If desired, some other paper may be used; book page, sheet music, construction paper, etc. Or some type of fabric may be used; burlap, muslin, lace, etc. Get CREATIVE with it!

Cut the hydrangea blooms from the stem and begin glueing around the perimeter of the frame. The faux hydrangea florals I used were from the fall craft line at the local Dollar Tree. Any faux florals may be used, but something with more of a flat bloom will work best for good coverage.

Continue glueing the hydrangea blossoms around the frame until it is completely covered. Then glue the Scrabble tiles spelling M-O-M in the center of the frame directly onto the glass.

And…… DONE!
How cute did this little craft turn out? I’m just LOVIN’ it! So quick and easy to create.

You could easily personalize this by creating one using your Mom’s favorite color or flowers!

This project is really not limited to the word MOM. Any other three letter word (or maybe four) may be used. NANA, HOME, LOVE, JOY, FARM, EAT, and PRAY are just a few ideas off the top of my head. The sky is the limit for ideas!

I hope I’ve INSPIRED you to create a faux floral frame for your MOM or for home decor. It’s quick, easy, and budget-friendly, so it’s time for you to get CRAFTSY!

Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
