Hello Sweet Friends,
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know how much I like all things Mackenzie-Childs. It’s just that my budget doesn’t really allow for me to splurge very often. However, I have purchased a package of Mackenzie-Childs paper napkins in the courtly check pattern and I have been able to get CREATIVE with them many times. In the current craft project I am using one of those napkins along with a Dollar Tree frame and butterfly. Follow along as I create a beautiful framed butterfly in no time flat!
Supply list
- Dollar Tree black 4 X 4 frame
- Dollar Tree butterfly
- Mackenzie-Childs paper napkin
- metallic gold marker/pen
- scissors
- glue gun
Remove the back of the frame and use the paper insert as a pattern to cut a square from the paper napkin. Using just a dot of glue, attach the butterfly to the center of the napkin square.
Leave the glass in the frame, place the napkin square into the frame, and replace the backing.
As a finishing touch, add gold around the perimeter of the frame using a metallic gold pen/marker. (I found mine at Walmart)
And…. BAM! Finished in under ten minutes! I ended up switching out the napkin and centering it a little differently but it did not take long and I like the result better. See picture below.
I’m all in a FLUTTER over how this turned out! So CUTE! And so EASY!
I hope I’ve given you inspiration for your next craft project! Let me know what you think!
Gotta fly now! See you soon!
