Snowman Pizza Pan DIY

You are here: Home / Budget-Friendly / Snowman Pizza Pan DIY

Hello Friends,

As you can probably guess from the title of this blog post, I’ve been working on a budget-friendly craft DIY using Dollar Tree supplies. I found the cutest DT yard stake featuring a snowman head and just knew it could be used to create something fabulous for the holiday season. So follow along to see how I created a snowman from a Dollar Tree yard stake and a pizza pan.

Supplies needed for Snowman DIY

  • Snowman head yard stake from Dollar Tree
  • pizza pan (they were out at the local Dollar Tree so I used a $2 Walmart version)
  • large paint stir stick
  • white spray paint
  • 2 sticks from the yard
  • wide ribbon or fabric for scarf
  • embellishments for hat, optional
  • Waverly plaster chalk paint, Waverly ink chalk paint and paint brush
  • Waverly antique wax
  • glue gun and E6000
  • duct tape
  • scissors
How cute is this yard stake from Dollar Tree?

To begin this project, spray the pizza pan with a base coat of white or off-white paint, following the directions on the spray paint can.

Next, add a coat of plaster chalk paint to the pizza pan to match as closely as possible to the snowman head.

Lightly brush antique wax around the perimeter of the pizza pan, mimicking the snowman head. Then paint three large buttons with the Waverly ink chalk paint.

Using a combination of hot glue and E6000, attach the large paint stir stick and the snowman head stake to the back of the pizza pan.The extra length of the paint stir stick will become the new “stake” for the snowman.

Add a length of wide ribbon or fabric of your choice for the scarf. Knot and glue in place.

“Paint” some snow onto the snowman hat, scarf, nose, buttons, etc. Glue embellishments onto hat.

Grab two twigs from the yard and duct tape them onto the back of the pizza pan.

Turn over and your snowman is finished. How CUTE is this? I just love it!

This project was so quick and easy to make; and best of all, mostly from Dollar Tree supplies. You can’t beat that!

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration to create something fun for your holiday decor.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
