Hello Sweet Friends,
I thought I would drop in and share a quick, easy, and budget-friendly craft with you this cold January day. It can be a challenge to decorate in the winter, but this little craft is the perfect for a little shelf sitter or a tiered tray and can be used for the whole month of January and beyond. So follow along and see how easy it is.
Supplies for this craft
- Dollar Tree galvanized bottle cap
- image from gift bag (or calendar, printable, etc)
- Mod Podge and brush
- faux snow and glitter
- scissors
- small embellishment
- small piece of twine
Begin this project by cutting out the image for the Dollar Tree bottle cap. As you can see, the cute little winter scene on this gift bag is the perfect fit.
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the inside of the bottle cap, then press in the image from the gift bag. (I removed the twine hanger first)
Then apply a line of Mod Podge around the perimeter of the image and sprinkle with faux snow. All some glitter to the scene with small amount of Mod Podge.
When dry, add a small embellishment to the bottom of the scene, if desired. Also reattach twine hanger.
And BAM! Finished! This little project turned out so CUTE, and it was super easy to make!
It looks great in this vignette with my other winter craft projects! You can find details for the DIY Snowflake Sign here. And you can find details for the DIY Winter Canvas Art here. Which one is your favorite?
I hope I’ve inspired you to create some beautifully craftsy things for your home this winter!
