QUICK and EASY Christmas Frame

You are here: Home / 10 Minute Crafts / QUICK and EASY Christmas Frame

Hello Sweet Friends,

I have the EASIEST craft project for you today. The supply list for it is SUPER short; it basically consists of three main items, plus a few smaller things. AND it’s a very versatile craft. You can just get creative and make it your own. Change the size, the color, etc. There is a limitless number of ways to get creative and change it UP! So without further delay, let’s get to it.

Supply list

  • 8 x 10 frame
  • mini Merry Christmas sign/ornament (Walmart)
  • one adhesive cork sheet (Dollar Tree)
  • scissors
  • glue gun
  • embellishment

This is such a quick, easy project that I hesitate to call it a CRAFT, but it really IS a DIY project so anyway…..

Begin by removing the back and glass from the frame. Save the glass for a different project or dispose, it will not be used for this DIY. Using the back of the frame, trace onto the cork sheet, and cut to fit the frame.

Then peel the back paper off of the cork sheet and press onto the backer of the frame. Place back into the frame and secure in place. I think the cork adds a layer of interest and texture to the project.

Remove the twine hanger from the mini sign. Apply hot glue to the back and place into the center of the frame.

Cover the small hole left by the twine by gluing an embellishment; a few berries, ribbon, foliage, etc. And, BAM! You have finished this quick little project!

How CUTE is this DIY project?? I’m LOVIN’ it! This would be the perfect addition to a Christmas gallery wall, or on a mantel, or on a dresser, or just about anywhere!

This idea could be used for any size sign or frame. The mini sign is so cute just by itself but adding it to a frame and cork background adds interest and makes it look more substantial. And it was just so EASY to make.

I hope I’ve inspired you to give this decor idea a try. Get creative with it!

Until next time…

Happy Holidays!
and
Happy Crafting!

Pamela

Meet Pamela, the Creator

Pamela, Creator

Born and raised in rural, Missouri, I'm a wife of 30 years and mother to one adult son.

My interest in all things artsy-craftsy began as a young girl. If there was a craft kit for it, I've probably tried it: paint-by-number, latch-hooking rugs, candle-making, shrinky-dinks, string-art, etc. I loved them all! For many years I was able to express my creativity on-the-job as a florist, and love using silk florals in my home decorating projects.

I'm excited to share my crafting and home decorating ideas with you. I like finding that perfect thrift store item and crafting something new out of it, or giving that old piece of furniture a new life with a fresh coat of paint. I hope my projects will inspire you to get craftsy and create things to help decorate a home you love.

Happy Crafting!
